Data Collection
Goodbirth Network supports midwifery centers in identifying and using data for continuous quality improvement within their practice, while also demonstrating meaningful impact to ministries of health, funders, and stakeholders.
We have established a core set of indicators to be collected annually by midwifery centers. Additionally, centers may also choose to contribute their data to Goodbirth Network for global benchmarking, strengthening collective evidence on the impact of midwifery, midwifery centers, and amplifying their voice in advocacy for greater recognition and support of the model.
We piloted this benchmarking with 20 midwifery centers in 10 countries in 2018. (see the poster in resources)
